In the evening of July 9th tech workers, organized in IG Metall, will gather at the IG Metall head quarter in Berlin Kreuzberg. The event brings together union activists, works council members and confidence people to get to know each other, exchange ideas and connect. The evening focuses on the specific issues that arise in tech office workplaces, like remote work, organizing international colleagues and transparency. We want to share experiences and ideas: What worked in your company? How did you guys achieve that?  

Works councils will present themselves and talk about their specific issues and strategies. There will be workshops held by colleagues from several tech companies on topics such as surveys as a tool to strengthen their bargaining power and co-determination at their own workplace. 

The evening is all about collective action, joint demands and joint visibility for tech workers organized in IG Metall Berlin. The event will be open for interested non-members too.
